Why Have a Will?

Wills ensure your final wishes are respected when you’re no longer around.

Planning your final wishes, while daunting, puts you and your loved one’s minds to rest.

If you have children, pets, or both, it becomes especially important to plan for when you’re not around.

Your Will ensures you decide what happens when you pass away, including:

  • Who will receive and/or manage your assets
  • Who will take care of your children and/or pets
  • Who will replace you as trustee of your Family Trust

If you pass away without a Will, your loved ones may have to go through a lengthy, expensive, and difficult court process to determine how your assets are divided. This can result in your assets going to those you would never have chosen, while those you would have chosen may end up without anything.

Having a Will cuts through the confusion and ensures your final wishes are carried out with confidence.

How Much Does it Cost for a Lawyer to Draft a Will?

Simple Individual Wills are $300 + GST for one Will (usually $350 + GST)
