About Hayley Boud

I have several years’ experience providing legal help in Relationship Property and Estates. Over this time, I recognised repeated barriers in the traditional law processes that result in frustration for those already going through one of the hardest times of their lives.

I created Caring Estates to offer a fixed-free, customisable service that gives certainty to those I work with. You decide whether to go ahead with the work knowing exactly what you’re paying for, and how much you’re paying for it.

I understand what it’s like to experience unexpected loss. My brother passed away suddenly when he was only 21 years old. We didn’t know the first place to start.

We felt lost and confused, he was too young and we didn’t expect to have to manage his estate. We had no idea how to arrange a funeral or how to pay for it, how to get the money from his bank accounts, or what to do with his car. Our brains were foggy with grief but we had to blindly find our way through that fog. All that I kept thinking was, “this isn’t fair”.

Whether you are going through loss due to death or separation, the grief can be unbearable and navigating your way through this difficult time can be very hard.

I want to be there for those who are going through loss. To be the person on your side cutting through the fog and assuring you that while this time is hard, there is a way through. Caring Estates was made to make the legal processes of estates and separation manageable.

Why Fixed Fees?

In my experiences, clients would come to me wanting certainty for their legal fees. In other law firms, clients fees are based on time to complete the matter which can give a nasty shock at the end when the invoice is sent. More times than not, clients are unhappy with not knowing how much it was going to cost.

I went out on my own to offer fixed fees so clients have certainty. They can decide, before I do any work, if they are willing to spend that much money.

I also want to give clients choices. Some want me to do the minimum and they will do the rest themselves, while others want me to take care of everything. Many places don’t offer this option. Most firms only offer one choice, doing all the work and charging a premium. By offering choice, clients have better insight and confidence in the service they’re receiving.

That’s why I offer DIY solutions. So clients can do the work themselves at a fraction of the cost.

For Estate Administration, I offer beginning-to-end package deals with fixed prices at each step for full certainty and no surprises.

My Mission

My specialty is providing caring legal assistance when relationships end, both through separation or death.

I am particularly focused on helping grieving families manage their loved one’s assets when there is no Will.

I especially wish to assist women who have lost the love of their life. These strong, brave and wonderful women inspire me to be stronger and braver myself. It takes an immeasurable amount of resilience to not only go through such terrible loss, but to also go through the legal processes required to manage their loved one’s assets.

That’s why I chose the butterfly for my logo. My clients and I often go on a journey together and come out the other side changed in the most beautiful way.
